“Once a surfer, always a surfer”. It is a well known fact that a surfer typically surfs through out their entire life. However, the professional career of a surfer is known to be one of the shortest among pro athletes, and also the least compensated. This is exactly why Surf Child takes an alternative approach to sponsorships of our team riders. Instead of only offering the typical free stuff like clothes and such, we work with our riders to set up higher education accounts that we contribute to on their or their children’s behalf.
