Surf Child Sponsors 1st Annual Girls Who Surf Amateur Wahine Surf Contest Sept. 30 - Oct. 1 2006 @ Kewalo Bowles
 Surf Child is proud to sponsor the 1st Annual Girls Who Surf Amateur Wahine Surf Contest. The contest will be held Sept 30th - Oct. 1st 2006 to recognize surf talent and develop community between female surfers.

 Kewalo Bowls will be dedicated to girls surfing THIS WEEKEND ONLY. Shortboard, longboard, and body board divisions will be available for the ages of 8-18, 19-29, and 30 and over. Heats will be 15 minutes each quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals.
Professional female surfers(Helena Suehiro, Betty Depolito, Carrisa Moore, & more) will judge and emcee the event. Contest awards and prizes will be given to the top three places of each division, including clothing from Surf Child.
